The written history of Agriculture in India dates back to the RIGVEDA, written about 1100 BC.
At Emirates Horizon Commodities, we respect the Farmer who we consider as the "First Man", and we believe that these Cultivators of the Earth are the "Most Valuable Citizens".

They are the most vigorous, the most independent, the most virtuous, and they are tied to their country and wedded to its liberty and interests by the most lasting bands and agriculture is not crop production as popular belief holds - it's the production of food and fiber from the world's land and waters.

Without agriculture it is not possible to have a city, stock market, banks, university, church or army. Agriculture is the foundation of civilization and any stable economy.

The soil is the great connector of lives, the source and destination of all. It is the healer and restorer and resurrector, by which disease passes into health, age into youth, and death into life. Without proper care for it we can have no community, because without proper care for it we can have no life

Despite the focus on industrialization, agriculture remains a dominant sector of the Indian economy both in terms of contribution to gross domestic product (GDP) as well as a source of employment to millions across the country.

Agriculture plays a vital role in the Indian economy and over 70% of the rural households depend on agriculture as their principal means of livelihood.
